Eligibility Criteria for NUMS Entry Test 2022
The students who want to appear in NUMS Entry Test 2022 must have Citizenship of Pakistan or Dual Nationals. The Overseas Pakistanis and students having Foreign Nationality can also register for NUMS Entry Test 2022 and can take Entry Test. The students who are awaiting for FSC, HSSC, A levels or 12th Grade Result can also apply for NUMS Entry Test 2022 for MBBS and BDS Admissions. The result of Last Year NUMS Entry Test which was held on 3rd October 2021 is not acceptable for admission in MBSS and BDS session 2022-23. The students who appeared in NUMS Entry Test 2021 and can't secure their seats in Medical and Dental Colleges Affiliated with NUMS must have to reappear in NUMS Entry Test 2022 if they want to get admission in MBBS or BDS program session 2022-23. In addition to Pass MDCAT Entry Test 2022 by NUMS, passing PMC Entry Test 2022 is also essential to get admission in NUMS affiliated Medical and Dental Universities. Students must have to score minimum 65% and 55% in Entry Test 2022 by PMC for admission in MBBS and BDS program respectively. Any student who will fail in PMC Entry Test will be not allowed to get admission in NUMS Affiliated Medical Universities even if he pass the NUMS Entrance Test 2022.
Paper Pattern of NUMS Entry Test 2022
NUMS Entry Test comprises of two parts. The Part A is the true NUMS Entry Test which is 95% of the Total NUMS Entrance Test. The Part B is known as Physiological Test and has 5% weightage of NUMS Entry Test for Year 2022. In simple way, NUMS Entry Test is similar to PMC Entry Test in a way that MDCAT Test by PMC includes 3% Logical Reasoning Portion while NUMS Entry Test consists of 5% Physiological Test instead of Logical Reasoning. So there is no big difference between two Entrance Tests. The Total Number of MCQs in NUMS Entry Test 2022 is 250 as in PMC MDCAT Test. Out of these 250 MCQs, 150 MCQs are collectively asked from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. This is known as the Part A of NUMS Entry Test 2022.
Each Subject MCQs Weightage for NUMS Entry Test 2022 is that Biology 35%, Chemistry 25%, Physics 25% and English 10%. The Biology Section of NUMS Entry Test 2022 has 55 MCQs. There are 40 MCQs from Chemistry and 40 MCQs from Physics. The Part A of NUMS Entry Test contains 15 MCQs from English Book. So the sum of all of this is 150 MCQs. Public Sector Medical College of NUMS includes only Army Medical College while Public Sector Dental College of NUMS is only one which is Dental Section Army Medical College. There are 55 seats in Army Medical College, Rawalpindi. Out of these 55 seats, 40 seats are for MBBS and 15 seats are for BDS students. Everyone can secure these seats because these are open merit seats and not include a single quota seats and no domicile restrictions. The Fee of Army Medical College is almost 200,000 per year (may be slightly different for this year). This fee is only tution fee and not include any hostel dues.
The Private Sector Medical Colleges of NUMS are Bahria University Medical and Dental College, Karachi; CMH Institute of Medical Sciences, Bahawalpur Cantt; CMH Kharian Medical College, Kharian Cantt; CMH Lahore Medical College and Institute of Dentistry, Lahore Cantt; CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences, Multan Cantt; Fazaia Medical College, Islamabad; Fazaia Ruth Pfau Medical College, Karachi; Foundation University Medical College, Islamabad; HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences, Taxila Cantt; Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences, Malir Cantt; Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences, Quetta Cantt; and Wah Medical College, Wah Cantt. There are greater number of Seats in Private Medical and Dental Colleges of NUMS as compared to NUMS Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges. Unfortunately, if you can't secure your seat in any Public Medical or Dental University and you have decided to take admission in Private Sector, give priority to NUMS private Sector Medical and Dental Colleges.
