Clarification of A-Level Exams Issued by PMC
A-Level students had an option to give their exams in October 2021 due to Covid-19 delays. PMC issued a one-time policy in view of that option. This one-time policy is made to accommodate such students who appeared in exams in October/November 2021. PMC has allowed colleges and universities time till 10th February 2022 to consider delayed results of primarily A-level exams or other exams equivalent to HSSC exams.
Purpose of PMC One-Time Policy for A-Level Students
UHS has made an eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS and BDS in public sector medical and dental colleges for Session 2021-22 that students must be HSSC qualified. Now, the online admission portal has been opened for admissions but A-Level students have no result cards. So, the sole purpose and intent of the policy was to grant an opportunity to students to acquire the basic eligibility requirement of having an HSSC (A-Level or F.Sc.) qualification and not loose a whole year in view of not having sat the first time exam in the summer of 2021.
Clarification of PMC One-Time Policy For A-Level Students
It is clarified that the policy is to accommodate students who did not have the opportunity to appear and obtain the basic eligibility requirement of an HSSC qualification.
Students on Which PMC One-Time Policy is Applicable
This policy only applies to students who have sat for their HSSC examination in October-November 2021 for the first time and not as a repeat/re-sit student to improve their marks or to pass earlier failed exams in the same academic year.
Students Who Have to Submit Their Admission Form with Earlier Result Cards
A student who held an HSSC qualification at the time when applications for admissions were due is required to apply on the basis of such earlier result. The improvers also have to submit their earlier result cards and not the result card issued to them after improvement.
Admission Policy of Universities
Each public university may proceed as per its declared admission policy in terms of which result or examination to consider as valid and eligible for admission as that is the prerogative of the public universities under the PMC Act, 2020.
Extension in Admission Close Date for Students with Late Results
No extension in time to close admissions beyond the notified time of 10th February 2022 shall be granted.
Admission within Stipulated Time
Delayed results policy does not allow students to not apply for admission within the stipulated time notified by the relevant university.
